The Xmas Wrap

The entire community got together to celebrate a wonderful year and have a bit of a sing song. 

It is relatively informal, with families sitting and singing together.

It's also a time where we farewell our Year 6 graduates

and they have an opportunity to say a few words! The Year 6 students were fantastic!

For every boy and girl in the room,
Has bought a teddy bear, and then we'll soon...

Our Gardens

Our gardens are growing really well. There are flowers on the tomato plants and the peas are starting to grow.

Where do you live ?

We are exploring our houses so that we can learn about how our houses make life better. 

Wednesday Afternoon

On Wednesday afternoon we have Rising 5's. We do lots of lovely craft and games and people who are going to turn 5 can come and visit us and join in.

Rainmaker invention -testing

This week we have been inventors and we have designed and made our rainmakers.  We tested them today to see if they worked and what kind of down pours we would produce !!

We are now talking about the next phase in the design process:

Our next step is - making improvements. 

Guided Reading

We read 'In the Garden' .  We put our things into our basket and wrote our sentence.

We also did a cut up sentence to help us practise looking carefully at the beginning sounds of words.

Fun at the Beach

We spent the afternoon at the beach practising skills for the athletics.
